Terran Starcraft 2 Build Order: Fast Expand Four Banshee Build



Description: The purpose of the Fast Expand Four Banshee Build Order is to take advantage of a Protoss players weak anti-air and lack of detection. I would argue that the strongest anti-air a Protoss player has is the Stalker, while the only detection they have is the observer or photo cannon. 

Your army will consist primarily of marines, a couple of ravens, and banshees. The raven exists to negate the stalkers with Point Defense Drone and detect the observer. Meanwhile, marines cleanup the stalkers while the Banshees target the Colossi. 

This'll definitely take some practice, but it's a pretty strong build and is very effective vs. Colossus play.



Strengths

  • Economically very strong and sets you up for the mid game nicely
  • Very easy to spend all of your money
  • Your anti-ground game will be very strong and if they don't have detection, will be an insta-win

Weaknesses
  • Very early aggression can be difficult to hold off (namely the four gate)
  • Very weak against Zerg, as banelings and zerglings will destroy you if you don't micro well (getting hellions sort of helps)
  • A high templar count in the late game can feedback and decimate a banshee army

42 Tech Lab on Barracks
42 Starport
44 Refinery x2 @ Natural
44 Reactor x2 on Barracks
46 Combat Shields
50 Hot Swap Starport with Factory

At this point, you have to deny scouting with your Raven/Marine ball. After;

Starport x3 ---> Tech Labs when finished
Make Banshees, Marines, Stim + upgrades. Push at ~8 Banshees
